Summer Days and Hot Tabasco®️ Nights
Special Exhibition: Hands all around 24
A little context….
The quilt is Silk Tabasco ties from the 1990’s on a background of Batiks. I’m from Louisiana and a recent Air Force retiree. During my 30yrs of military service, including eight combat deployments, no matter what part of the world I was in - peaceful areas or combat zones, I could always count on there being a Tabasco bottle in every dining facility or chow hall. And if we were eating MREs (Meals Ready to Eat), there was even a small Tabasco bottle in each of those too.
The quilt is my way to saying thank you to Tabasco for always being there to remind me of home.
